This is a mountain, river wilderness sunset that I captured in the Pacific Northwest, Mt. Rainier National Park, beside the White River. The beginning of dusk brought an evening sunset that lit up the Spruce and evergreen treetops that cast a glow on the river, mountain landscape. Lighting up the trees in golden hues, it gave a whimsical, almost fairytale nature to the hi-country landscape scene that’s punctuated by river rocks, boulders, and the rushing water of the White River in the foreground.
Pictures tell the story of life. They are the "caught in the moment" expressing the beautiful, complex, interesting, confusing, ever changing, always growing, adventurous, and colorful experience of life. They often lead us on a journey, inspire us, and bring back memories. In every moment, I am looking for the angle, perspective, light, hues, and emotion to capture the indescribable of life in a photograph or artistic expression.
